ETC Sports can supply quotations from 2 lane triple/runs to full size athletic tracks. We can also provide surfaces for javelin and longjump aswell as discus and shotput cages. All equipment can be supplied at competitive prices.
Different types of surfaces for athletic sports are;
Full Pour System – this is the best surface you can get with a life expectancy of on average 20 years. Designed with the highest standard of international competition in mind, meeting IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) regulations, its installed by placing a layer of EPDM rubber granule mixed with a polyurethane binder. This is then repeated and finsihed with a top coat of colopured EPDM granuels. This surface requires the least maintenance.
Sandwich System – this is ideal for heavy useage tracks as it has force reduction. Its installed as a rubber crumb base mat topped with a clear polyurethane binder. Its sealed with EPDM granules and has a final top coat of coloured granules placed on to a flood coat. This has an average life expectancy of 15 years and does required regular maintenance.
Spray coat system – this is the most popular surface, and is widely used by schools, regional tracks and athletic training facilities. This provides durability and energy reduction. This is a spray that is sprayed onto a base of rubber crumb and clear polyurethane binder, with a final textured surface on top. This has the lowest life expectancy of 10 years and requires the most maintenance of all of the surfaces.
